When it comes to the past few current months of the fever over actor Charlie Sheen's rise to weird-dom, his inspired rants have made elevated him to "Messiah of Madness" status. In watching the internet, the news and in listening to casual conversation, Charlie Sheen's "Winning" strategy is good philosophy in practice, yet sloppy in execution. You see, in relation to living Epical, his "warlock" bullish ways have the right energy, but the sloppiest of execution.

The following is an open letter to pop culture and Charlie Sheen:

Dear Charlie Sheen,

We at the Church of the Epical had put these practices to pen years ago starting back in the fall of 2005. We're happy you've been able to begin an epic lifestyle of your own. Your vehemence and energy have garnered our applause. The Church has always been a proponent for self empowerment, living large as the star of your own centric epic movie, being dynamic to the point that all will take notice, and having a winning attitude. Your "rock star"/"Warlock" approach is very akin to our beliefs in the inner real life super hero. Perhaps you may have read these missives in the past and had been inspired? If so, we at the Church have taken notice. Well done. Were we to meet, I would ordain you a high priest of the Epical Order. With a little refinement, you may transcend from shtick to an actual believable practice. We can guide you on your path.

That said, if you, reader of this, were one to be bemused or inspired by Mr. Sheen's words and antics, then perhaps it's time you took the next step and perused the structure and organized thoughts and philosophies of the Church of the Epical. Where within, you just may find that "winning" isn't something you say, it's something you do. To do that, it must be learned and that knowledge is found here. Come one, come all, learn to unleash your inner super hero, rock star, super star or anti hero. Learn to act on your greatest desires and successfully implement a true winning lifestyle. What lies within your mind can be unlocked here and brought to fruition. Live as large as you like through Epicalism. Be Epic. Here are the guidelines to a fantastic life and that life can begin today!

In the future, the Church will be more interactive and hands on with the world as we prepare the upcoming Church of the Epical Youtube Channel, so that you may grow epical from your very own homes and watch the philosophies that are inspiring many.

Oh the tangled webs we weave when we sexually relieve.

Today, he returned to his kingdom, a broken monarch. No longer can he wield his golden staff and cause shock and awe. No longer can he amaze the masses like a wizard as his magic wand can no longer perform his mystical feats of the spectacular. He has fallen. He is broken. The masses no longer flock to him. He is a mere shadow of his past glory at such a young age.

He's Tiger Woods, the man who had it all, but let the weapon, ex, shoot him down. Two children and a lovely wife. This was his reward. A family. Now, after his "sex addiction", he is shamed, tarnished and cannot grasp the glory and skill he once had. Worse yet? She took half of the kingdom with her when she left.

Oh Tiger, it's not even the fact that you had these urges, but the outline of your life was what set yourself up for a fall. Had you not played the "goodling" wholesome lad, route, not married Elin and had kids and played your game as a great golfer who likes to womanize, then maybe you'd be on the path you were meant for. Unfortunately, you got too close to the flame and got burned.

We've discussed how sex can be used as a weapon, but this is worse. This is sex as a self destructive explosive. It went off in his face and blew his happiness and success to smithereens. When prior discussed, sex and love are the final reward after the ultimate goal has been reached. Yes, he had reached that goal, but I'm here to now elaborate on the structure of the rewarded sex so as not to have the Epicalist fall down a torrid path.

When Eliot Spitzer was Governor of New York, the scandal broke that he was spending $100,000 a year on hookers. The main squeeze, Ashley Dupree in the end was the wind that blew down his house of cards and shamed him out of office.

John Edwards was thought to be a great candidate for the White House, yet the scandal of an extramarital affair ripped his name to shreds. After the affair was outed, he returned to his wife's side as that's what one must do in the public eye, until she died of cancer. Shortly after her death, he proposed to his mistress. He should never think of running for any office again.

Here are my points:
a) If you're going to be sexually promiscuous, don't choose noble professions. Noble can't be Epical, because we seek excitement, not the boring and stodgy. Epicalists are hedonistic. You cannot be a hedonist and follow any path that does not support your delicious yet "sinful" ways. Remember, a lot of Epical philosophy is against the grain of mainstream thought. Unless you are prepared to deal with the fallout from the societal ground zero explosion, don't set yourself up for an imminent failure.

b)Epicalists have a redefined sense of good and evil. As long as you've reached your goals and are living a fabulous grand Epical lifestyle, you shouldn't be hindering your self image with scandal. Avoid scandal at all costs unless you have engineered or mastered a way to gain from it. Late "King Of Pop", Michael Jackson was a great believer in "there's no better press than bad press" and constantly engineered and concocted stories and images to make the world think he was bonkers. The hyperbaric chamber, the Elephant Man's bones... all these were stories to keep his name in the press. Others emulate that today. Why else would a singer attend an award show in a dress, bag and shoes made of raw meat?

c) If you seek the Epical Dynamic Mental Attitude (EDMA) way of life, you think on a grand scale, but you would most likely be heading down a path of self gratification and glorification. This means your main goal is to be as amazing as you can be. You want to astonish yourself, showering your person with nothing but sheer awesome. There is no room for nobility, but there is room for honor.

d) If you choose this lifestyle, and you’ve reached your main objective goals in life, when you reap your sexual and relationship rewards for your hard work, you should have your sexual situation geared comfortably to your lifestyle. Be devoted to your life partner, unless you’ve established an open relationship or a relationship or lifestyle where no matter what you do with your sexual life, you will have no scandalous entanglements. Basically, if you’re going to be a dog or a bitch, then make damned sure that it will not tarnish or hinder your reputation. Moreover, you should be hoping it enhances your image somehow.

Live free. Die happy. Never want to say “I should have”.

Vengeance. Revenge. Oh such heinous activities we're forbidden in the christian societies. They say "Vengeance is mine, sayeth the Lord". Are you kidding? So you mean to tell me that we're to take solace in that everyone who has ever done you wrong whether they know it or not will get their comeuppance? We're suppose to believe that some divine power will reign upon them and deliver justice... and yet we never even get to know about it or witness it?

Not to be obsessive about revenge, but I'm not one to wait for that satisfaction that may never come. I have a different theory. You see, in many cases I believe we're allowed that sense of satisfaction of knowing there's vindication in the end of an unfortunate situation.

I'm not touting "eye for and eye" but christians are rather restrictive about revenge. I say "enjoy what you can recoup".

I have a theory called: "The List". The best part about the list is it gives you a sense of reward and satisfaction once you've achieved that "Ultimate Goal". We discussed the "Ultimate Goal" in prior writings about "Sex as a Weapon" and such. The "Ultimate Goal" is that large goal you've set for yourself which gave you the grand payoff of success in your life, be it becoming wealthy, successful, noted, recognized, exalted or simply in that "happy place" you've always dreamed of to end your "final chapter" of your life's movie.

"The List" lists all the regular annoying people in your life that you want to one day tell to jump off a bridge. The naysayers, the bastards, the ones who hurt you, the non believers, the relationship ruiners, the scorners and basically all those who've been downright asinine. This is not for the victims of violent crimes. That's another installment entirely.

When you make you list, be it on paper of mental note, this is a list for those whom you know would be green with envy once you've achieved the "Ultimate Goal" and thus, have reached that level of "in your face" satisfaction. Those on the list include:

-Old (romantic)flames
-Teachers or anyone actually who thought you'd amount to nothing
-Friends who always had to outdo you and did
-Those who didn't believe in a talent you have to make it
-"Professionals" who tell you your situation can't be helped
-Those who shunned you, spurned you, rejected or dejected you
-Those who patted you on the head all the while praying for failure

I hope you understand that these are just the types of people you should keep in mind. These are the ones that will spur your desire to succeed if nothing but for the pure smug satisfaction it gives to rub their noses in it.

This also helps to lessen my stress levels. When I think of someone who's wronged me, I say to myself: "Heh... you are NOW on... the LIST". The last laugh will be mine. I take solace in that thought alone.

Vengeance? Hell, It's not only yours, it's a vocation.

Suffice it to say that to be Epical is somewhat hedonistic. It's not about breaking rules, but respecting the ones you bend. Bending rules to suit your ends is actually OK. It's all about your moral ethos. Take for example (as this came to me today as I stopped at a red light someone else had blown through): If you're at a red traffic light and you know it's not one of those flashing ones that takes your picture and there's no traffic danger and no police in sight... would you blow through it? Would you take it into your own hands to break the societal self imposed honor code that that light represents?

Oddly the end results would be: The thrill of breaking the "law", getting to your destination just that much sooner, the self gratification of getting one over on "the man" and his rules and a feeling of empowerment from doing something that feels liberating. Do something that might make you want to hum a personal theme song. Do something mildly dramatic or dynamic. I'm not advocating robbing a bank, but once in awhile, for your own mental well being, just try it. Find something on a small scale to "get away with". Basically.. In life, sometimes you have to run a proverbial red light to get ahead.

There's amazing history in the making. We are at a crossroads in American history. As the world is a diversified culture, it embraced and supported Barak Obama, as the 44th President of the United States of America, the world's most powerful country to date (yet I'm not so sure how long that will remain).

Obama was celebrated because he represented a breath of fresh air over the Catholic driven religious right that was the Bush Administration and seemed more reasonable in the issues that truly represent the 21st Century. Obama brings us modern thinking and a true representation of the separation of Church vs. State. He's removed religious symbols from the White House, supported issues the Catholic Church does not, like Stem Cell research and abortion . He truly is a vanguard for the modern thinker.

He also, truly is a messenger of change. Change that means that the rest of the world will finally be respected. Over-bloated Christian beliefs that stifle America's founding beliefs will finally be curtailed. No longer does one feel the Bush oppression. But this is not a political statement. It's a humanist statement. In fact the best and truest statement ever said by Obama himself was "We are not a nation of Christians". Technically, as a nation, America, standing for the land of freedom also basically supported prejudiced thought processes. The "American Way" seemed to mostly mean that you could be a proud American as long as you pray to the same Christian god. This is bad. This was bigotry against Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, Wiccans, Agnostics, Atheists, Satanists and more. This coming from a country that supported the freedom of religion.

We are now at possibly the best time in our lives. Without that oppression of the prior Administration , what we get in return is true freedom of choice. The choice to explore other faiths for starters. The freedoms to practice our varying faiths that make America great. The choice to look at the world through it's multicultural eyes. This site gets more hits from Europe than it does Americans. That's sad how blinded we've become.

Surveys show the reasons the Catholic Church loses members:

I'm going to quote the Norwich Bulletin:

"Many people who leave the Catholic Church do so for religious reasons; two-thirds of former Catholics who have become unaffiliated say they left the Catholic faith because they stopped believing in its teachings, as do half of former Catholics who are now Protestant.

Fewer than 3-in-10 former Catholics, however, say the clergy sexual abuse scandal factored into their decision to leave Catholicism."

This is a new era. An truly Epical era. Our views can now flourish and grow and we no longer have to feel dirty about our thoughts and beliefs. These are the decades to come where one can be proud to live as an Epicalist. Now is the time to becomes vanguards and herald our way into this 21st Century.

Congratulations Epicans. You are free at last... Free at last... Thank Obama, you're free at last.

I like to observe people. That's what I do. I watch them. I try to envision what makes them tick. What makes them do what they do, look how they look , be who they are. What situations or circumstances brought them to each crossroad of their lives. Why did they let themselves go? Why do they strive so hard for perfection? Why do they settle for the middle of the road or celebrate mediocrity? Each individual is different. That's what makes them great, but the greater individual is the "character". The Character is the one who creates a definitive identity. Those are the ones that can be their own superheroes.

I stare at people and wonder not only if they could be their own Superhero or Antihero or even a Supervillain, but just what character is inherent in them that could bring forth such a result.

Some people have the personality or desire to create or become a character. Those are the ones that muddle through life without the thought of doing or being great at anytime in their life. Mainly this is due to low self esteem. They've never take the time to try to empower themselves because they always think that "good things like that happen to OTHER people." They think that it's "not in the cards" and they choose to let life be represented by a stampeding crowd that runs them over and think it's because they were designed to be the rug.

What you do in life, is controlled more by you than you think. I have one friend who is handicapped, yet on occasion, he gets hurt. He has a lawyer on speed dial who is now on his way to winning my friend his third settlement over six figures. I have yet another friend who has a case where she could be awarded millions (yes... I said MILLIONS) of dollars, yet can't get it in her head that she was wronged to the point of entitlement and actually DESERVES to be awarded that much.

It comes down to self awareness. Does your character, your personage actually DESERVE the best things that life can throw you? Well, the difference between those who have what they want and those that don't is truly belief. Believe that you can be what and who you want to be or at least that you DESERVE better, and you can achieve that.

Can anyone be a Superbeing? That's truly up to you. As previously stated on this site, it's all about you and what gifts you were able cultivate. When I see someone who's doesn't appear to have the potential, I try to see deeper into themselves than I think they would for themselves. Maybe they're a telepath but now introvert because of lowered self esteem. I feel sad for them with the thought that they let self esteem lock up a potentially powerful gift. Don't judge, convict and condemn yourself until you've gone through that "personal inventory" of every ability you believe you have. That's exactly how people waste their potential.

I don't look at a homely woman with graying hair and warts who's overweight and say "what a shame", however I look at her and imagine that in private...in her "secret identity", it's possible that she's a powerful mystic, or of superior intellect to create or design or craft something amazing. I look beneath the surface to find their inner super ability. This is what you must do with yourself if you're to challenge what's been thrown you.

Find the powers within you. Gain your "character" first and build on that.

Like the USA cable network says in their advertising campaign : "Characters Welcome".

Ah...Christian Hypocricy.

Why is it, the worst Christians are the born again types? Worse than ex-smokers, they preach like they're life experts who've solved the worlds crisis with a blank form known as "salvation". I know of a banking process called a "suspension". In a check reconciliation department, it's an area of a bank where they add up and process checks, comparing them to a ledger that reports these inbound documents . Now some checks get lost or damaged that the magnetic codes are mangled or have the wrong amounts on them and must be sought after and found and corrected. Now to keep the worlds of commerce moving, sometimes they throw in a dummy ticket to represent the check until the investigation is complete and that dummy check is called a "suspense ticket". This doesn't mean they found the money... It just means they put in a dummy to take it's place.

This is how these Christians explain their "happiness in the Lord". Suddenly they find great happiness in blind faith. They'll say "I was once just like you." Here's a hint. Most cults start with that sentence. They begin to tell you how you and they are the same and how you can find salvation as they did. However, they give you "suspense tickets" as to what the salvation is and how they got it. They say they found it in the Lord. Did he drop it out of the sky in a United Nations Air Drop? They say they found it in the bible. Where is the proof, in that old book of hear-say, that anything factual actually went on? What's funny is that I came from where these people have just arrived. I was once "god fearing" and all that before I became endarkened. I started young as my parents wished. I went to the churches, I read the "good" book, sang the songs, prayed the prayers and I had "the faith". The prayers were never answered, the songs brought empty joy, the book had too many holes in it's tales.

Another classic Christian hypocrite is the one who "believes in God", yet will do anything else to get the job done. Hypocrisy runs rampant with them too. I know a woman who runs screaming when the thought of the occult comes up, yet when she wants the love of a man and her god won't give it to her, she ask me to "cast a love spell" for her. When she felt she was given cursed items, she asked me to cleanse them. I told her how to do it herself, but not without asking why her god didn't do it for her? Why didn't she just go to the church and tell her priest or have him bless them? Not that that would necessarily lift said curse, but the point is, she never even considered it and yet she claims to walk as a servant of her god. All the while she conducts fetish acts, sleeps with various men, keeps unscrupulous company...yet can not be turned from her god. Her devotion to this god is wonderful. If I could I would give her a million dollars the day she actually contacted said "god" and he actually does something I can see.

I find Christian ministers and priests amusing. On the one hand, they denounce the forces of nature and the mystic arts be they black white or gray, and yet in their own right, they act as magicians themselves. Technically, Catholic priests act very close in practice to occult priests. They use imagery with a wafer and wine to represent what would be termed an act of voodoo cannibalism, they wear black clothes by day, chant and ask for things in prayer in almost a spellcasting fashion...and yet they attack others for doing the same. They do this because others are doing it to any god but theirs. It's like politics. They all not only support their candidate, they want to brainwash you to do it too!

I notice mostly the way they, the Christians and other "god fearing" religious groups, beat you into a submissive state. You are not allowed to be a Master or Mistress. You are a sheep in a flock. You blindly follow with the unproven reward after death. You allegedly have "free will" but must give it up to serve their great god who allegedly gave it to them in the first place. How many more acts of hypocrisy must be pointed out?

Were ye Epicalist, your will and your choices are your own. You command your destiny. You do whatever you humanly feel comfortable with. You answer to yourself. You are responsible for your own actions and lastly, you get to have fun at it! Remember the credo still stands. It's your script for your movie to write and star in. Live it up a little. For in the here and the now, for the blatant facts of it all; you only get one shot at this life. Don't live for an afterlife that may never be that you truly have no choice on the outcome.

Remember, some think in the afterlife, you get 7 virgins, others say pearly gates, others say you get your own idea of paradise yet there is no definitive answer. Why not stick with what's tangible and proven which is this moment, this lifetime.

After so long and many questions upon the topic I tried long and hard to come up with a fast and easy way to explain the Epical movement and how it can enrich lives.

Many who've tried to explain it, have said empty open ended statements like "It's a new and enriching way of life" or "It's a new philosophy that is both uplifting and fulfilling!" alas, those statements are empty and don't really answer the issue.

The DNA of Epica is the DMA. DMA stands for Dynamic Mental Attitude.
It is NOT the same as a Positive Mental Attitude (PMA). If all it took for an uplifted life was to be positive all the time, then the world would be a whistling Disney tunes all day and giving out flowers and balloons.

Face it, it's a dirty gritty world out there and though it has it's ups and downs, we as a species need a mindset in which we can actually cope with it. By cope, I don't mean happy pills (prescription drugs), I mean having the mental attitude, aptitude and fortitude to go forth throughout the day without a) pretending to see it through rose colored glasses and b) crumbling under the pressure.

What if you could just actually try and enjoy life no matter what it threw at you? Imagine the possibilities?

Remember way back when I first attempted to explain the Epical philosophy? Basically, I was explaining that, as it has been written; " all the worlds a stage and we are mere players in it" and we were here to star in our own theatrical performance. This does not mean "be a Drama Queen". It means simply this: Take the mundane and have fun with it. Change your mindset to as if you always had a movie camera trained on your every movement. Imagine a boom microphone above your head recording what you said for an audience to listen. How would you speak? How would you act? Would you cower in fear or thrust out your chest in pride as if to proclaim yourself a real life thespian?

I'll use this as a preamble as in upcoming posts I will go further in how you can be the role you've always wanted to play... but in real life. Oh and gang? You can play the villain and you don't have to lose to the good guys in this one.

Can you answer this question:

"Who is God?"

I bet you can't. Now I don't mean replying "Hey, everybody knows who GOD is. He's that all powerful guy with the long hair and the white beard that's Jesus' dad!" I don't mean replying that god is Allah, Buddha, Yahweh, Jehovah, Goya, Uranus, Thor, Odin, Satan, Zeus, Coronas, Mattes, Apollo, Aries, Athena, Bast, Belial, Leviathan, Thea or Astaroth, just to name a few.

These names were given by man to give an understandable persona to the forces greater than we believed to exist. A line from the XTC song "Dear God" spelled it out rather poignantly: "Did you make mankind after we made YOU". There is no real proof of these gods or even their names. IN the same instance, technology has not led us to believe differently as to their existence either.

What we DO know scientifically is that there are unseen forces in the universe. What we do know is that first and foremost there are energies abound in the universe and it's dimensions that clearly show themselves however unexplained.

So let us reverse engineer the concept of god. Many of our kind in our time have shown many talents and abilities beyond those of normal men, and yet we consider them heretics or witches or freaks simply because we choose not to understand them. The "norm" was set long ago in the evolution of man and based on events that could probably have been proven through science with today's technology. We now can scientifically fathom the different spectrum of energies from ultra violet, ectoplasm and Electro magnetic. We have created machines to detect such. So let's start with how god was conceived. In a time of a science-less world, anything abnormal or occultist was deemed supernatural and in most cases because of it's rarity, evil. From the belief in Jesus' miracles to the Salem witch trials, man has thought that anything that is not 3 dimensional and tangible was either an act of god or the devil.

Faith was created and fueled by superstition and ritual, based on very little fact and supported by fear. Fear of angering the gods, fear of being against the norm, fear of being unnatural. These fears were culminated for the purpose of mind controlling the masses. The masses who followed like sheep sat and listened to the lawgivers who were in themselves corrupt.

Face it. MAN made god as a control device. God is as much a concept as he/she/it is real. God is a point of view. God is a thought process. God is better left within our hearts as a driving force... A thought... A need... A desire. We control our destiny, but we cannot control fate. We can only shape it and bend it, but never can we, like time, tame fate.

Where does that leave us? Well first, let me tell you where it doesn't leave us. In reverse engineering god, It doesn't leave us under the control of man made religions. It doesn't leave us beholden to societal rule. Nor does it leave us in anarchy. You see, that's the first formula you see when you examine the gods of organized religion. You see them as fear mongering tools. Especially in the Christian sects. If you don't go to church, god will punish you and you're a bad church dweller. Well, considering that a plate goes past your nose to collect "offerings" for which you dump your money, I'm sure that's why it's a sin to them if you don't. Because, you see, if you don't go to church, you can't give them your money. The same can be said for the faith healer believing Evangelical churches. Some have the nerve to charge for "healing holy waters". Were they so magnanimous, they would heal for free. Who paid Jesus to heal? No one. He rode on an ass, not in a large limousine.

These organized religions are some of the most corrupt of all time. They are the biggest hustlers known to man. They are the priests and ministers and reverends that prey on you for your money, so they give you the whole show for the price of admission. One has you singing and dancing or screaming out and another keeps you in line like a good little foot soldier of god. Either way, let's call them what they are..."cults".

Society has no idea how it has been duped. No concept of how it has let itself become sheep. Now the sheep are in control of the world and the populace under it's rule are simply the lambs to the slaughter. This is the result of centuries of bastardized stories from two to three thousand year old text.

My friends... Here we have unraveled our concept of god for just what he is... A concept. Well, if I must have a concept, I want to make MY own god. I want a personal god. I want a god that reflects me and my desires. I want a god that is the same for all, but mine alone. Allow me to tell you about MY gods:

MY gods have no faces. MY gods have no names. MY gods do not follow the doctrines set forth by the predecessors of religious dogma. MY gods fuel my fire. MY gods are my batteries to my inner gifts. MY gods wield the power cosmic. MY gods allow me the sentience of free thought and the free will to do as I instinctively please as long as I do not infringe on the same in others and do not kill my fellow man for sport or gain other than in war to defend what is mine in home, property and country.

MY gods acknowledge my inner gifts and do not hinder nor shun them. They nurture my quest for knowledge, they feel my growth, they allow nature to respond in kind, they allow probabilities to be altered because my gods live within myself as they touch me. MY gods do not believe in idle prayer for they do not wish to be bothered with our menial desires and wants, thus they grant us the abilities to make these things happen for ourselves. They allow us to be satellites of their godhood. They allow us to be as gods on earth in a small way. If it was believed we were made in a gods image, then we should have a fraction of that power we so envy. We are offshoots, fingertips of an un-divine hand or rather, hair follicles of a supreme head. We have been touched by a dark cosmic force. It gives us instinct and our mentality allows us to act upon it within the confines that we do not disturb another's right to do the same.

There you have it. God has been restructured and resurrected in a new image. A personal god.

Many people ask "where exactly does the epical spiritual ethos lie?" Some may even go so far as to ask if Epicalists are Satanists. Allow me to clarify:

Epicalists or Epicans are "hedonistic humanists". We believe that first and foremost, the answers lie within ourselves. Shakespeare once said: "The fault lies not in our stars, but in ourselves". He could never have been more correct. But not only our faults, but our successes and how we choose to overcome adversity or difficulty.

Epicans are not Satanists under the conventional terms or understandings, nor are they Christians either. They are also neither agnostic nor atheist as they have a belief system in forces of nature and science and the possibilities of beings greater than ourselves.

Epicalists acknowledge that forces beyond our comprehension formed and shaped our existence, yet give no formal names to them. There is no "Heaven" or "Hell". There is no "God" or "Satan". Any god or grouping of such aforementioned would be merely the X factor in an algebraic equation. Whether they are "good" or "bad" is mostly reliant on ones own perception. To say we don't believe in god is not entirely correct nor incorrect. We believe in forces greater than our own and older and possibly than the ones man has attempted to claim and tame the legacies of by giving them names.

In the pursuit of 'god', and Epicalist seeks proof of the metaphysical and even the supernatural. Epicans believe that the bio-electric force that flows through our cerebral cortex is mostly to blame for the gifts we possess, locked within our most powerful tool in the arsenal of the human psyche: the mind. This is different than mere resultless prayer or charlatan faith healing in other religions.

Epicalist belief is that whatever our instincts tell us must be the better answer. Whatever we desire as a human animal should be a reward reaped with no repercussion be they depraved or selfish. Letting our gut reaction be our guide is our credo. In most societies, due to certain acts of selfish hedonism, these actions might be considered dark behavior.
How society classifies Epicalism is not important. It is only dark to them because they are from a different mental structure for which they do not understand freedom as truly being free.

Besides special days on it's own calendar special to the Epican, the Epicalist celebrates the same holidays found on the lunar and pagan/occult calendars. Not for the same beliefs, but for the sheer wealth of ectoplasm and metaphysical energy generated for which to harness.

"How can I be 'epical' and why would I want to be?" you may ask? Well it's a very good question. Although these writings spell out many things, they may seem confusing to some or a more complicated read than what others are accustomed to.

Let me first sum it up that Epicalism is the ability to live life in an epic way. Similar to the drama of a movie only without the chaos. Your life doesn't have to be the mundane humdrum life it seems to be. You seek out Epicalism when you feel depressed or that you have no hope or are seeking answers where you feel there are none. You do not chase faiths that ask for money yet offer no proof for answers or seek unproven deities for help. You seek to find the solutions within you, and recognize that not only is accepting change the secret to success, but that recognizing opportunity and seizing it is the key to luck.

Let's break down a few key aspects of Epicalism:

1) First and foremost: You are the star of your own life story.

2) You can dispel the negative aspects of life and turn them into a positive. This is not ignoring depressing or hurtful issues, merely a way to suppress them and turn them in your favor so that you may find them easier to deal with emotionally.

3) You believe that you are your own savior and that salvation first comes from within you and not the unproven gods of both past and modern day organized religion.

4) You believe that you can be whatever you imagine yourself to be if you only took the moment to actually envision that person in your mind and live as such. You believe that what you perceive yourself to be is so.

5) You believe that within you lies the power to do whatever you set your mind to or are interested in finding out how to tap into those inner gifts. You in turn believe in the forces of nature, both physical and the metaphysical.

6) Lastly, you believe that your human instincts and humanistic urges were given to you for a reason and that you should feel free to act upon them as long as others are not being hurt in any way that infringes on their rights to do the same. No religion or political agenda should be able to sway or guilt you from that.

In those 6 simplifying statements, you are well on your path to endarkenment.

There's excitement in cinema. The movies make life so dramatic, from it's music to its direction. Shakespeare said "all the worlds a stage and we are merely players in it", so why not play the part as best you can?

To do that, first and Epicalist must play the role they were born to. They must play it as well as they enjoy it. There are no critics of this act and no writers for this script.

Live Epical. Live fabulously. Live FREE.

That's right. Belief. How many things today would not have been invented had no one believed in themselves? Would we still be riding in horse driven carriages? Would we have gone into space? Could we fathom that half the things we've dreamt of in Science Fiction could come true? Could we do more than imagine?

Someone had to dream it. Then they had to make a plan. Then they made it real. Your life can be like this also.

No one says you have to invent anything. No one says you have to do something so avante guarde... You simply must follow a dream. Your dream. The one you feel most passionate about. An Epicalist believes that his or her dream is obtainable in some form or another and in some way, shape or manner.

An Epicalist is never held back. An Epicalist does not believe in failure or the word 'no'. An Epicalist, in their mind, believes they can develop something great or be a part of something great.

An Epicalist does not feel they are too old for anything. An Epicalist has no fear of breaking societal rules when they believe they can make better ones. An Epicalist does not relent in his or her conviction, nor do they give up.

An Epicalist keeps the blinders on. Blinders are what they give race horses to wear about their eyes so as they can stay focused. If you think you have crazy idea, chances are it's not so crazy after all. You would know in your gut whether or not to go along with it. Research your idea. See if it's been done before. If it has, maybe you can improve upon it. There are only so many mouse traps, but, as the saying goes, "build a better one and they will beat a path to your door". We now live in a world where more ideas are accepted. There are fewer barriers, and yet the worst barriers we have are those set by either ourselves or those set by others. Don't let anyone tell you you can't do something. If you write a great play, philosophy, book, movie or song, don't let anyone tell you you cannot follow your dream. Don't let them tell you you are too old to start or too inexperienced. Find others to help you. Protect your ideas first then see them through. Don't let them tell you that you don't have a chance for in this life we all do.

This is the final stage of imagery. The stage where whatever you think to be is so, only you must act upon it. Go forth and tell those that hold you back that you will see it through. Those who put you down are merely jealous that they do not have the vision you do. Mayhap one day they will live as epically as you and find the strength to live their dreams to fruition also. Until then, forge on. Do not stop until your life mission is achieved. Remember the Epicalist motto: "The key to success is to accept change, the key to luck is to recognize and seize opportunity ".

aka (why can't my life be as exciting as TV?)

Why does the cinema and television excite us so? Because they bring to us escapism. They bring to us a reality more exciting than our own. It's all "make believe" and yet...why is this? Pretending you are someone you are not is just that...pretending. Life is not a game of "cowboys and Indians" or "cops and robbers" unless you actually ARE one of those. But what life IS is an adventure. How you plan to capitalize on that adventure is up to you. Your mind is such a powerful tool. It's a vast synaptic computing machine. It can create true virtual reality. All you have to do is close your eyes and raise the curtain on the theater of the mind.

Now what if you went one step further? What if you actually were what you wished to be? What if you actually created your own action or dramatic adventure? That in itself is the meaning of life...to give it meaning. Yes. The meaning of life is to give life meaning. It's that simple.

When it William Shakespeare said that "All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players"(from As You Like It 2/7) , that statement could not be any more true. In some ways, one could call our race the greatest reality show of all. Our audience is vast in which it includes ourselves and everyone we come in contact with and could very well encompasse beings greater than we and beyond our scope.

We deal in microcosms. We are the lords of our lands and the gods to the insignificant and lesser than we. We keep pets, eat plants and animals no matter how much larger they are to us. We squash bugs and kill micro organisms much smaller than we. We are our own gods in that sense.

But our minds, our psyches need to be entertained as well. So we create situations to be placed on film for the mass media to gain mental stimulation and sustenance. We play games both live and electronic that simulate greater feats than our day to day to entertain ourselves. We read books of the great adventures of those written to be far greater than ourselves. We do this to break the monotony of our day.

Yet we still feel empty. Unfulfilled. So we seek out faith to fill the void and yet that leaves us with a false sense of security because our faiths are taught to us with no fact behind them and we feel foolish. Most churches leave us feeling that life is better when we die. They teach us that we should live our lives as an audition for the afterlife. There is a terrible conundrum of duality here. Our lives should be lived to its fullest, within preset limits, yet that's ok because it will be better when we pass on. I can't subscribe to that because what the afterlife holds for us has yet to be defined in fact nor may it ever be.

The things we would like to do instinctively are considered sinful and should be abstained from, so there will be no bliss until we troll through this muck of life where we are allegedly rewarded upon death. Yet at the same time we're told to live our lives as good people who don't give into our urges.

Don't tell me to enjoy gods green earth in all it's splendor, yet only if you follow it's anal rules.

The movie "The Devils Advocate" said it best. "...he (god) sets the rules in opposition. It's the goof of all time. Look, but don't touch. Touch, but don't taste. Taste, but don't swallow." How true is this? Dangle the carrot before the ass and he will follow to toil in your fields. I do not want to have to wait to go off to die in the unknown before I can enjoy myself. I don't want to suffer in life in hopes to win the grand prize in the unproven eternity. I want fulfillment now. Right now. In this life.

Why is it, on television, there are situations that seem to be entertaining because they are odd or foreign to us? Why did one television show or another always glamorize an individual or a couple, sometimes married, as amateur detectives that solved crimes successfully? It's odd how these amateurs were so adept and always did what the professionals couldn't. Week after week we'd follow these characters and marvel at them. Well, I may ask you... Why can't that be you? Because we always believe that what we see in media is merely cleverly scripted fantasy, and yet only our disbelief stops us from doing these feats ourselves.

If this were my reality show, it would be one of drama and action. I'd want something challenging and thought provoking. I'd want mystery, conspiracy, adventure and wonder. I'd want to have this everywhere. I'd want it at the supermarket. I'd want it at the barber shoppe. I'd want it on the street in my car. I'd want it at work. I'd want it at home in bed with my lover. I'd want stimulation. I'd want fulfillment and bliss. I'd want instant gratification or the promise of eventual spectacularity.

What I do not want is to wait. I do not want to be restricted. I do not want to live a dull life. I do not want to fade into the woodwork. I do not want to wake up everyday and wonder why my life is so dull and never changing. I do not want to think that I contributed nothing to our society even on the smallest level. I do not want to know that this is all there is. I do not want to get stuck in a humdrum day to day life. I do not want to have to supplement my mental state with drugs or alcohol to escape the quagmire of my life.

This is how I'd want my life and I think you all might benefit from the same attitude.

I would want to reevaluate all that is bad in my life and try to give it an epic flair by attacking them with a sense of excitement.

You may think I'm mad. You may think I'm completely insane. Or you may look at yourselves and wonder; "what have I got to lose in changing my thought process?"

If you had everything you could ever want... Do you think you would be happy? No. That's the biggest lie you could ever tell yourself. If you had it all, you'd become bored rather quickly or succumb to the greed of wanting even more, so your happiness would wane. You see, the meaning of life is to live it with the desire to keep improving on it. To create more challenges for yourself for which you would grow.

Life is not sitting about sedimentary and complacent with a dead end job living from paycheck to paycheck or marking time by counting weekend to weekend watching your life go by.
You must get into this game of life and play it to win. All you need is that imagination to make your life an epical one.
